Dungeon Drawing Dudes 2019

I am currently involved in this year's iteration of the "Dungeon Drawing Dudes" Instagram challenge. Daily prompts are provided for this Dungeons & Dragons-style drawing event.

As usual for this sort of thing find the bulk of my work at my other drawing blog:

DDD Week 3 Works

...And once again, for Week 3, I only did the first two items:

Day 15: Forest Temple Map

Day 16: Overprepared Elven Bard

DDD Week 2 Works

I only did the first two days of the #DungeonDrawingDudes Challenge Week 2:

"Chugar the Half Orc Scavenger searches for riches with his newly-acquired Ruined Castle Map."

More DDD

Today's accomplishment:

Dungeon Drawing Dudes

This month I am joining a bunch of artists on Instagram to do a daily "Dungeons & Dragons" - themed drawing challenge, called #DungeonDrawingDudes. My work so far:

Calamari Cove

Dwarf adventurer Hamz an'Dwych, on the hunt for treasure...

Cornered

I drew this sludge-like creature, lurking in a corner of some dank dungeon. I'll color it at some point...

Final Phrixes

Here is Phrixes fully colored.

AH - Xhabu Hin

Xhabu Hin (SHAH'-boo HIN) is the cleric of the Accidental Heroes. He is a sturdy man (6' 1", 215), who prefers the greens and blues of his faith, and carries a large studded mace.

He is a follower of the sea god (name TBD). Hin is on a lifequest to investigate a splinter cell of his religion (located somewhere way out west), but is down to adventure and help people along the way.

And yes, I realize I drew his head too large. Sadly, Hin looked best in the stage between these two drawings (fully inked and shaded, but not yet colored)...

AH - L'anlina

L'anlia (luh-AHN"-lee-uh)

I was going to have two warriors in the group of five Accidental Heroes, but after much thought, I decided I want two wizards instead, so L'anlia has been changed mid-stream.

She is a happy go lucky sort, not as hyperactive as Graewon The Quick, but still not a typically serious sorceress. She is athletic, and has pale skin and dark blue hair. She prefers various knives when not using spells.

AH - Eilinel

Eilinel (AYE'-luh-nell) is the leader of the Accidental Heroes. She is a highly intelligent warrior of superior skills. She has mastered many forms of combat and weapons, but prefers a long sword and a short bow.

She doesn't look as rough as this preliminary drawing indicates!

AH - Ellyu

Ellyu (Li Uwan)

Character No. 2 from Accidental Heroes, he is a rather large man, from an Oriental-type region. He has no memory of his past. He is a very skilled thief, but he is not very smart. However, with his positive outlook and charm, Ellyu is very charismatic, despite his lack of social graces and unremarkable appearance.

More Phrixes

More inks, fuller facial details.

Accidental Heroes

The first character from an original adventure series (tentatively called "Accidental Heroes") I am creating, both written and drawn.

This is Graewon the Quick (GRAY'-wonn) a highly intelligent and extremely athletic wizard, who while being very charming,  unfortunately has very little common sense. He usually uses his powers recklessly, and also to rectify bad situations into which he's gotten himself.

Phrixes in Progress

I took the beginnings of a drawing of a wizard from back in November, and am slowly turning it into my 'sword & sorcery' original character Phrixes (see previous posts). I'll update as I progress.
